I could watch the walk through the sugar cane every day for the rest of my life and never tire of it; it's just brilliant technique.

You have a wonderful website, by the way.Stephen Reginaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17050782148081105899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3196652593714152340.post-50113867505189278682011-11-03T21:49:16.976-05:002011-11-03T21:49:16.976-05:00I even did a paper on I Walked With a Zombie in gr...I even did a paper on I Walked With a Zombie in grad school. It was for post-colonialist theory, and everyone else was doing like J.M. Coetzee and stuff like that and I was like, nah. I'm gonna do 1940s B movies. It was pretty great.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03288833179709873110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3196652593714152340.post-1689649603720251202011-11-03T17:34:27.111-05:002011-11-03T17:34:27.111-05:00Jandy, Glad you're a Lewton fan. I could watch "I Walked With a Zombie" every day I think.Stephen Reginaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17050782148081105899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3196652593714152340.post-69501833100108401152011-11-01T12:32:01.648-05:002011-11-01T12:32:01.648-05:00Val Lewton is one of my favorites! I think I Walked With a Zombie is my favorite, but obviously Cat People is right up there. And I like Isle of the Dead far more than most people - looks like you do, too! There are a couple of jump scares in that movie that get me pretty good. Bedlam kind of bored me - it's probably the only one I don't care for, though.Jandy Stonehttp://www.the-frame.comnoreply@blogger.com
