To celebrate the seventieth anniversary of The Wizard of Oz, Turner Classic Movies (TCM), NCM Fathom, and Warner Home Video will be presenting the movie in a new high-definition version.On September 23, 2009, 400 movie theaters around the United States will have special one-night-only screenings. One of the classics from 1939, the event will also include a documentary on the talent behind the movie called We're Off to See the Wizard. A special introduction by TCM host Robert Osborne will also be presented that evening.
