Jeanne Crain says “boo!”
This site is devoted to the love of classic movies. What qualifies as a classic film or movie is somewhat subjective. There are certain films which endure because they strike an emotional chord long after their initial release. For example, a movie like "Casablanca" (1942) would qualify as a classic under that definition.
|During Hollywood’s Golden Age, it was required, as part of their movie contracts, for stars like Jeanne Crain to pose for photographs like this one. This Halloween portrait might have been sent to the dozens of movie magazines available in the 1940s or been posted at local movie houses during the season. It served two purposes: to promote and keep stars like Crain in the public eye and to bolster her studio’s—Twentieth Century-Fox—image.|
