This site is devoted to the love of classic movies. What qualifies as a classic film or movie is somewhat subjective. There are certain films which endure because they strike an emotional chord long after their initial release. For example, a movie like "Casablanca" (1942) would qualify as a classic under that definition.

I love the photo set from LIFE of Lombard's last war bond rally. It's so heart breaking but very beautiful and touching.
ReplyDeleteLombard's death was tragic (and I tear up when I think about it)-but as silly as it may sound-I feel like she was at a good point in her life. She was very happy when she talked to Clark for the last time.
Thank you for posting this :)
Dear Jessica, thanks for stopping by. I love those images as well. Imagine you're a small town kid during some pretty horrible times for America and this glamorous movie star shows up in an evening gown and leads the whole community in "The Star-Spangled Banner." How inspiring must that have been?
